On January 18th and 19 th, just as the U.S. was poised to swear in its 45th, and perhaps most controversial president, we were at a Due Diligence conference in Toronto with several of your investment specialists from the U.S. and Canada.

Unsurprisingly, Trump and the potential consequences of his policies on the U.S. and the global economy dominated discussions, as did rising interest rates, the implications of Brexit, energy prices and the prospects for Canada and Canadian investors. The mood, however, was reassuring.
